THIS... is a 1982 Mercedes-Benz 300GD, finished in white with a black interior. This is a European-market G-Class currently titled in Washington. Imported from Norway in 2019, it's equipped with a metric instrument cluster and a 5-digit odometer.The attached Carfax history report starts in 2019 and lists no accidents since.This truck was built as a 280GE with a 2.8-liter straight-6 engine, and it's now registered as a 300GD and powered by a 3.0-liter turbodiesel 5-cylinder engine sourced from a 300TD. The list of modifications reported by the seller also includes extra rows added to the radiator, 15-inch wheels, 300GD emblems on the doors, a Pioneer head unit, and USB ports on the dashboard.According to the build sheet provided in the gallery, factory equipment includes locking front and rear differentials, a power take-off unit, a trailer hitch, plaid cloth upholstery, and rear jump seats.Mercedes-Benz joined forces with Steyr-Daimler-Puch to create the original G-Class (W460). It was released in 1979 and aimed largely at farmers and adventurers; Beverly Hills wasn't on the company's radar yet. The G's upmarket ascent started when the extensively updated W463 arrived in 1990. It looked a lot like the original G -- it wasn't an entirely new model -- but it gained a longer list of features and a permanent four-wheel drive system. Civilian production ended in 2018.Power comes from a 3.0-liter turbodiesel 5-cylinder engine, rated at about 123 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Called OM617 internally, it spins the rear or all four wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
